The Club Library ( another good reason for joining Silicon Valley Woodturners)

Our extensive library, with emphasis on turning videos, is the work of our former Club Librarian, Al Gore. Rich Dege assumed the post in Jamuary of '08. The video section, has recently been converted exclusively to DVD . There 43 books on woodworking with many specifically about turning as well as some tools a turner might want to use occassionally - like a Tachometer and a Moisture meter.

DVD Library

The club's extensive video library is another valuable resource available to club members. It currently has over 85 videos which members can check out for the nominal fee of $2 per month. If you've seen an ad for a turning video in a woodturning magazine or catalog it's probably in our library.

Books

Among the 43 books currently in our club library you'll find plenty of books on turning. But you'll also find books on wood, joinery and other non-turning woodworking.

Tools and Equiptment Library

If you've been into turning for very long you know that there are things you think you might find useful, but don't want to spend a chunk of change to find out if you really, really, really will use it - more than once.
